Neptune and Saturn stay cozy all month long. Mercury, Saturn, and Neptune all station retrograde. With Pluto still in retrograde motion that marks four planetary energies calling us to pause, reflect, reassess, and reimagine. All of this, plus Uranus entering Gemini, Jupiter still newly in Cancer, and the Sun moving into Leo add up to a lot of new. The pace slows and asks us to reflect in some areas, while entirely new frequencies emerge elsewhere.

This isn’t the kind of month where everything clicks into place all at once. It’s more like a soft tectonic shift, you're reflecting, but as you do, you can feel the ground moving beneath you. The energy asks for trust, patience, and creativity as the skies continue to change shape. Saturn and Neptune, two slow-moving outer planets, are dancing together all month long. Outer Planet Shifts and the Push-Pull of Change

Uranus enters Gemini on July 7, bringing a brand new 7-year cycle of disruption, innovation, and reinvention in how we learn, connect, and communicate. Mercury and Venus bring their usual shifts, but they do so within a backdrop of retrogrades and new outer planet terrain. It’s a month of transitions, not necessarily final answers but definitely new questions worth following.

Neptune and Saturn are now both beginning their retrograde journeys, urging us to look inward, reflect, and reassess what is working and what isn’t. These energies invite deep personal review. Uranus, on the other hand, is moving into new territory entirely. Expect this push-pull between the familiar and the unfamiliar to color your experience this month.

Key Astrology Transits July 2025

To keep it clean, unless otherwise noted, I’m giving aspects dates when they are more or less exact. However, in my own astrology practice I operate off a more liberal orb. Trust your intuition and keep in mind that these transits start to build days or even weeks before they are exact.

This long, slow-burning conjunction (it first presented in late May and will hold steady for most of 2025) defines the emotional tone of the month. Saturn, the planet of structure and boundaries, merges with Neptune, ruler of dreams, illusions, and higher love. With Saturn in Aries, it's a bold call to vision something new—and then build it. As I mentioned last month, if we are moving towards our dream life, this aspect helps us build the scaffolding.

Where Pisces blurred the lines, Neptune in Aries demands action. You might feel pulled between a big dream and the fear of starting fresh. Trust that tension. This is a once-in-a-lifetime energy, and it’s asking you to initiate something that doesn’t exist yet. Make space for the long game, and don’t rush the reveal.

✨ July 1 – Neptune in Pisces Sextile Pluto Rx in Aquarius (2°–3°)
This harmonious aspect offers a subtle but powerful invitation to transform our inner and outer worlds. Neptune brings divine inspiration while Pluto exposes the shadows. Neptune's retrograde begins its journey back into Pisces, encouraging a deep internal review of our dreams, illusions, and spiritual path. This retrograde can feel disorienting at times, but it offers a chance to reconnect with the truth behind our ideals. Watch for reality checks and revelations.

This dreamy connection invites us to blend fantasy with flirtation. Venus brings charm, Neptune adds a touch of divine romance. Art, music, and beauty feel otherworldly. With Neptune now retrograde, this transit may prompt us to revisit past desires or loves with fresh insight.

A deepening of emotional intensity. This transit encourages magnetic attraction and powerful transformation in relationships. Expect emotional truths to surface and for connection to feel both raw and real. It’s a good time to align your values with your deeper purpose.

The conjunction that began in Pisces now shifts into Aries, initiating a new cycle of visionary leadership. BIG news. Uranus, the planet of revolution, moves into Gemini for the first time since 1941. Prepare for a total rethink of how we connect, learn, and share information. This is the beginning of a communication revolution.

✨ July 10 – Full Moon in Capricorn (18°)
This Full Moon brings powerful closure to career goals, responsibilities, and long-term plans. Capricorn's energy asks us to reflect on ambition, achievement, and where we feel in control. It's a great time to release outdated definitions of success and recommit to your inner authority.

This aspect, which lasts into August, strengthens the push toward collective transformation. Saturn gives structure to Pluto's deep shifts. Together, they support building new systems that are resilient, forward-thinking, and rooted in truth.

✨ July 13 – Saturn Retrograde Begins (1° Aries) 🔁
Saturn stations retrograde in Aries. This is the transit that will bring Saturn Retrograde in Pisces for the final time in September. This initiates a long review process around the structures we've been building. Old fears may resurface. Use this time to refine your goals, heal self-doubt, and reconnect with your spiritual foundation.

✨ July 18 – Mercury Retrograde Begins (15° Leo) 🔁
Here comes the mid-summer Mercury retrograde, asking us to reflect before we speak and rethink before we create. With Mercury in bold Leo, this retrograde may bring delays or miscommunications around self-expression, romance, and creative plans. Use the time to revise instead of launch.

✨ July 18 – Mercury Rx Sextile Venus in Gemini (15°)
This soft, supportive connection between Mercury and Venus helps ease some retrograde tension. It encourages meaningful conversations, rekindled connections, and the re-evaluation of creative ideas or relationships. Look back to go forward.

✨ July 21 – Venus in Gemini Square Mars in Virgo (18°)
Expect tension between desire and duty. Venus wants connection and fun, while Mars demands precision and productivity. This square may stir irritability or passionate debates. Channel the energy into constructive problem-solving.

✨ July 23 – Sun Enters Leo ☀️
Leo season begins, ushering in bold, expressive energy. This is a time to stand in your light, celebrate your creativity, and own your personal power. The Sun in Leo invites us to lead with heart.
